
The idea takes shape through uninhibited sketching, not bound by any conventions. This process is akin to a voyeur – observing as it comes to life. Sketches are mostly in charcoal, pencil and conte - they never finish and are often returned to. White geometric paper cut outs against a black sheet further dictate the idea, arranging the cutouts perpendicular to the axis of the paper allows shadows to come into play, morphing yet again.
